Toni-Marie McCarrick
Director
Hello, I’m Toni-Marie, Director of TMC Computing. I started this company because I’m passionate about giving children opportunities in STEM that go far beyond the classroom.
My journey began working in schools as a Computing Lead, teaching Computing across all primary year groups. I loved seeing the excitement on children’s faces when they realised what they could create with technology. From their very first piece of code to designing digital projects that showed real imagination. That role sparked a passion for giving children meaningful opportunities in STEM and it led me to expand my career into training teachers, supporting school leaders and helping schools embrace technology in a way that truly enhances learning.
Over time, I realised that many children’s curiosity and creativity in STEM needed more space than the school day could offer. That’s what inspired me to build a business dedicated to providing fun, engaging and accessible STEM-inspired clubs outside of school. I believe in meeting children where they are - using the games and platforms they already love to encourage teamwork, resilience and problem-solving. Beyond the technology, these clubs are about teaching the core values of being a decent human being: how to share, respect others, collaborate and celebrate each other’s successes.
For me, it’s about giving children foundations for life as well as digital skills.

Goals & Objectives
How Our Clubs Work

TMC Computing clubs run for 60 minutes after school, once a week. Each term focuses on a child-friendly digital platform - depending on the needs of the school. Currently Minecraft Education is proving super popular and is the main offering.
Platforms we currently use:
-
Minecraft Education - building, problem-solving and teamwork in creative and survival worlds.
-
Roblox Studio - designing games and experiences while learning coding logic.
-
Scratch - creating animations, interactive stories and games with block coding.
We are still building our programs and will be introducing robotics in the future too.
